I saw a bright orange butterfly in my yard and followed it around. It landed on the ground for several seconds and I was able to confirm it as a Monarch. It was gone when I returned from getting my phone for a photo or video. This is my first sighting since I’ve lived at this location in 37 years. I have had blooming showy milkweeds for two summers.
