Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 06/28/2024

Number: 1

I have been inspecting my milkweed diligently and finally found a monarch egg -- just the one! I still have not seen an adult, but clearly one has been here. The last two years I found the first egg July 12 or so, so this is actually early for me, but why do others in NJ see butterflies so much earlier?
