Observed one Monarch butterfly patrolling around a stand of Common Milkweed. The Milkweed was located in a grassy field along a fence line on the east boundary of the Interstate 990 highway right-of-way. Milkweed appeared very robust, probably due to abundant rainfall this growing season. Milkweed was in full bloom and Monarch may have been nectaring on the flowers.
