Faded male & fresh bright color female, both in my Milkweed patch. Female seems focused on nectaring from Milkweed blooms, male was "patrolling". They occasionally met & circled each other in flight above the patch. This is the latest I've gone before seeing my first Monarch Butterfly of the season.
