Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 07/08/2024

Number: 0

Last year, in 2023, by the first week of July, I had raised 18 butterflies from eggs and small cats that I had found on the common milkweed in our garden areas. Previous year's counts were similar or higher. This year, however, we have not seen a single monarch butterfly. Nor have we found any eggs or cats on our common milkweed plants, which have now flowered and developed seed pods. Everything in the environment seems the same with respect to the plants available except for the fact that the monarchs are missing.
