We have a very healthy patch of about 200 stems of common milkweed but almost no sign of caterpillar activity. I found one dead 3rd instar. Earlier I brought in 3 cats (from a different patch) for my grandson to watch and all had technid. I've only seen one adult--female laying a few days ago (reported). I hope others are having a happier monarch summer.
