Male (you can see the breeding hooks on his posterior in the photo).

All 4 eggs I raised to adults have been male. Conditions have been very hot and humid with no significant precipitation outside of pop up thunderstorms. The only adults I've seen are the 4 I've released. I've pruned my common milkweed post bloom to trigger fresh growth in the hope I get another egg laying female to stop by.
