Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 07/16/2024

Number: 1

One small juvenile male rubythroat spotted flying to perch in magnolia tree at noon. Then again at 3 p.m. Came closer perching in desert willow tree that is missing one giant branch from hurricane Beryl.

It's 95 which is 103 heat,(feels like)
Flowers not liking that heat, but he found Hamelias to nectar from that are blooming. Maybe hummingbird will figure a feeder eventually.

I saw to put foil around feeders helps to keep them cool. Haven't tried that yet.
