Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 07/17/2024

Number: 2

This is the first day I looked for larvae. We have 8 acres with lots of milkweed, too many to monitor. So this is from a tiny sample of five milkweed next to our house.

Just about everyday for the last week or so I have seen a solitary monarch flying around this stand. It's probably not the same one. Any how, today, the first time I looked, I found three eggs on that five milkweed stand, plus these two Instar 2 (?) larvae..
