Monarch Egg Sighted

Date: 07/25/2024

Number: 10

Numerous fresh eggs and hatched Cat larvae on new growth healthy Milkweed.
This is after the second mowing of this field along the river.
Will keep an eye on these.
Monarchs were late arrivals this season.
The timing of the mowing was perfect as the Monarchs tend to lay their eggs on more tender new growth and the field won't be hayed for another couple of months.
