Number: 2

Hot and muggy. This resident male stopped to nectar on an early blooming Meadow Blazing Star after fending off the latest interloper in the garden. He has been patrolling my garden for going on four weeks. I think he is a captive reared I released. He is very aggressive chasing out all other butterflies, hummingbird birds and larger birds.
