This was my first sighting of an adult monarch on our property! I've been keeping an eye out for the past couple of months and was getting quite discouraged. Then, when I least expected it, I saw this fast flying monarch, searching the leaves of my swamp milkweed for places to lay her eggs. This was the only photo of the three I took that turned out. I am so happy to have seen this female as the Monarch Blitz begins!
