Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 07/24/2024

Number: 4

A monarch was laying eggs on our milkweed patch. Her abdomen was swollen and curved, and the ovipositor was visible and making contact with the leaves. Other monarchs were flying around, too. We actually have this happen every year and see chrysalises and hatching. They really like our milkweed, Joe Pye Weed and coneflowers.
