Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 07/28/2024

Number: 1

I really don't see any problems with lack of monarch's in all stages. (No decline at ny location) They are here year round except maybe Dec-Feb. There is always a monarch flying around daily in warm months out on our nectaring hummingbird plants. If 2, they fight in air over plants. It's hard to keep butterfly weed as it usually gets larva eaten. We have a native Drumond maple tree in front that has cocoons in it always. I'll try to get a photo.

The adult one sighted today was seen doing the usual sailing around Hamelia pattens. They like Turk's cap we have also.
