Monarch, Captive-Reared
Sightings report image

Date: 06/29/2024

Number: 1

A large female eclosed early on the morning of 06/29 and was released early evening. It was a strong flier and flew to a tree.

This is the 2nd Monarch I have captive reared this year. The egg was found on Asclepias syriaca along the highway ditch at my residence.

I raised it outside on my screened in porch in a mesh cage.
