I spent two hours at Lynx Prairie and saw NO monarchs. There were many tiger swallowtails, some spicebush swallowtails, and a few fritillary butterflies. Despite the scaly blazing star, ironweed, whorled milkweed and prairie dock blooming, I saw zero adult monarchs. I briefly examined the whorled and butterfly milkweed there and did not see any monarch eggs or larvae.
