Hummingbird, Rufous (FIRST)

Date: 07/29/2024

Number: 1

We rarely see a rufous this far east, but this is the third year in a row we have seen a male at one of our feeders. He chases off the black chins and establishes his territory. We've yet to see a female but she must be about. We've seen them off and on for the past nine years or so, but this is the third year straight one has moved in and made home.
