At about 1:30 PM we spotted a female Monarch Butterfly nectaring on the Zinnia and Tithonia flowers in the garden in front of our house. It would nectar for a while and then take off and randomly circle around the garden and then return to nectar some more, sometimes to the same flower and sometimes to a different flower. This process repeated a few times, and then the butterfly headed off to the west.
At the time, the air temperature was 69°F and slowly rising, the dew point was 46°F and steady, the humidity was 44% and slowly dropping, the air pressure was 28.69 inches and slowly dropping, and there was a light 7 mph breeze blowing from the NW under fair skies.
