This area of open fields has approx.1500-2000 common milkweed plants spread over about 4 acres. Two of us searched the area foe approx. 45 minutes. It was an overcast, hot day, 27 degrees C. We did find 3 monarch larvae which are reported separately as part of the 2024 monarch blitz.
