Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 07/31/2024

Number: 1

This monarch visited multiple common milkweed plants in my garden, intermittently laying eggs, taking short rests atop leaves, and feeding from the blooms. The milkweed is very tall , many over 8 feet, and there are still blooms reaching toward the sunsun.

This is a mixed garden with many native plants in bloom. It’s been visited by yellow swallowtails, red and white admirals, fritillary butterflies, moths, wasps, bees and many other insects.
