Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/04/2024

Number: 2

Two 1st instar monarchs, each on their own common milkweed. The one pictured on the left looked to be recently hatched - no stripes yet. I was in a patch of a couple dozen milkweed taking a quick look at all of the plants that were within easy reach. Sighting was around 1pm on a sunny day where the temperature was in the low 80s Fahrenheit.
