While we are supposedly still weeks away before our male RTs begin their journey south, I'm already detecting the males "tanking up" at the feeder, plus more nectaring in-between the long draughts at the feeder. Is this a sign of an earlier departure here in the northeast? I have two immature males transitioning in their plumage to "all boy" and two females in a sort of in-between chest feathers.
