Ruby Throated Hummingbird with damaged lower bill. The bill was damaged between Jul 22-24. Since then we have been photographing it frequently to see if it is able to get enough protein via insects. Evidence is finally showing in the form of descending new tail feathers. There are atleast 32-36 hummingbirds over 1.3 acres of floral garden, guessing from the sugar water consumption in 30 feeders.
