It may have been a juvenile. It was smaller than usual. It was feeding at my butterfly weed flowers. I saw it about 10:00 a.m. when I was leaving home, and then again about 11:00 a.am. when I returned home. It was again feeding at the butterfly weed flowers. It looked like the one I saw earlier, so likely the same monarch.
