male monarch nectaring on Asclepias incarnata. I saw it nectar on at least 3 A. incarnata plants.
**THis is the first adult monarch I've seen on our 10 acre property since April, despite the property having hundreds of milkweed plants and thousands of nectar plants. This monarch looked it great condition (very colorful, no apparent tears) and could be part of the mid-summer migration that arrives in northern OK at this time each year.
