Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/15/2024

Number: 4

Larva in the photo attached appears to be a fourth instar. Unusual location to find a larva, resting on the top surface of a leaf and not eating. Not a lot of evidence of eating on the plant where I found him. He has been in the same spot for the past couple of hours. Plenty of wasp predators around; some Tachnid flies as well. The other three larvae observed are the ones from yesterday’s report. All appear to be second instar.
