Female ovipositing on Asclepias syriaca / Common milkweed seedlings.
Most likely doomed to fail from the beginning as the location is anything but ideal, as there were 6-7 large larvae on this milkweed patch 7-8 days ago which all disappeared, likely predated by wasps, and one chrysalis formed and lasted for 6 days until it was predated by wasps.
All Milkweed seedlings on this patch are heavily infested with aphids, and their honeydew attracts lots of wasps and other predatory insects.
