I first noticed the hummingbird because I heard this strange noise behind me - similar to a growling - I glanced behind me and the hummingbird was hovering RIGHT behind me - "staring" at me! I said hello. Haha. It was there a good 30 seconds before it zipped in front of me, paused, and then went to nectar from a butterfly bush.
