Hummingbird May have been in my garage all day... It definitely was in my garage at 4:00 in the afternoon when my husband parked the car... At that point we left both ways to the garage and interior garage door open for a couple of hours. I thought it had gone but when I came home at 8:00 p.m. And opened the garage there it was.... It did not look at all distressed .. And despite my repeated attempts over several hours to gently evict it, the little bird refused to leave (It was 107° yesterday & hotter still in the garage). I turned on the high fan to get the air circulating & opened both doors, put some cooled hummingbird food hanging from a hook in the garage, placed a light on the feeder (& place the feeder near the door) But to no avail... I even tried the pool net. I had left the feeder available all afternoon Though I didn't see any attempt to eat. I finally ceased. Any further attempts at 11:00 p.m....this morning, I was unable to find a little bird... He must have passed away somewhere in the garage overnight.
