12 Monarchs roosting individually mainly on small dead branches. I have seen the roosting season start this way before, hopefully more to come. A fair amount of activity by others not roosting, most I have seen this fall. Lots of blooms including Meadow blazing star, Virginia mountain mint, Maximillian sunflower and numerous Goldenrods. Will check this roost site every night going forward, hope to see more. Temperature is 80F with very light wind.
