Two males who were here last year returned to my feeder the first week of August.I tried to stop the turf fighting by placing another feeder nearby in a neighbor's tree.They both still wanted to control the one in my yard.Today, I noticed the senior bird just sitting above the feeder on a branch cleaning himself.The younger was frozen at the feeder,waiting for him to leave so he could drink.I'm curious as to whether anyone else has seen similar behavior.I wish I could get a video/picture of these two, but I can't get close enough before they spot me and flee.
