Only the 2nd monarch sighting for me during 2024. Individual nectaring from horsetail milkweed flowers then resting on a Johnsongrass fruiting panicle; on a small irrigation canal bank. Sight is along the Rio Grande, the morning was cloudy, windy, and warm.
