12 captive reared Monarchs from eggs (8 females and 4 males) and 3 reared from 2nd instars (1 female and 2 males), eclosed very early in the morning of 8/30 and were released mid afternoon of 8/30. The eggs were gathered 7/31 on my property from Asclepias syriaca and A. sullivantii. The 2nd instars were gathered from A. syriaca and A. incarnata on 8/09. The butterflies were raised in mesh containers on my screened in porch.
