3 captive reared Monarchs from eggs, 1 female and 2 males, eclosed in the morning of 8/31 and were released in the afternoon of 8/31. The eggs were gathered 7/31 on my property from Asclepias syriaca and A. sullivantii. These butterflies were raised on my screened in porch in the nearest mesh container (see picture) and moved to the tall mesh container for release. The other mesh containers contain different pl! batches of Monarchs. The hard sided containers contain Pipevine Swallowtail caterpillars, not Monarchs.
