Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 09/02/2024

Number: 5

Largest number of monarchs for a day ever. Two monarchs in late morning, feeding only on butterfly bush, two monarchs in early afternoon feeding on butterfly bush and A.Crassavica, one large female in late afternoon feeding on butterfly bush and zinnia. No egg laying but mating behavior displayed several times for the early afternoon monarch pair (maybe male wishful thinking).
