Monarchs have been visiting my pasture of red clover during the day for several days. Winds have been steady out of the south.
I was able to spot approximately 20 the evening of September 3rd.
I began the watch at 7:00 p.m., flights noticed at around 7:30 to 8:00 p.m.
No distinct roosting. A few in each cluster, some having only one.
I did notice more numbers in a tree, chose to wait and not disturb, however by then, wings were closed and impossible to find the roost.
My intent is to set up in a different location to watch them come in this evening.
