4:21PM three monarchs were feeding on my butterfly bush.

Unfortunately, multiple painted lady butterflies (10) were also feeding on the same butterfly bush.

The painted lady butterflies kept chasing the three monarchs away from the bush. They pursued the monarchs for a distance of 10-15 feet before they (painted lady butterflies) returned to the butterfly bush. This is the first time I have observed competition between tge two species of butterflies.
