Monarch, Captive-Reared
Sightings report image

Date: 09/05/2024

Number: 2

The monarch population seems very low in Laurel, Maryland this year. I only saw one wild monarch in my yard in the month of August. I purchased monarch larvae in the second half of August and raised them. The first two adults (males) eclosed today. I still have five chrysalises from which adults should emerge within the next couple of days.
