Sitting in west facing front porch.
A single monarch butterfly flew maybe 3 feet off the ground from north to south across our house. I was stunned as I haven’t seen a monarch since I was young and they were plentiful and common. As I sat there watching it fly slowly away south, a second monarch followed in its wake. It also flew gently past where I sat, heading in slow butterfly fashion in a southerly direction. I was so amazed, I felt I should report this unexpected occurrence to someone, but not knowing where, did a quick Google search and landed here. I hope this information is beneficial to someone.
