1 monarch grasping onto long grasses beside road, possibly newly eclosed. Perfect condition, I was too far to determine sex. This lat of 45.22 seems quite north. Copious amounts of common milkweed about these farm lands along roadsides and also in hay fields, some in gardens too. I'm a MW CS- no doubt it was a monarch and not a viceroy.
