I observed more ruby-throats than I have before over the years while walking in the gardens. They were nectaring from salvia,mimosa,obedient plant, digitalis canariensis, begonia,and butterfly bush blossoms. Two were dueling over the obedient plant flowers. They were all females or juveniles. I didn't see any mature males.
