Over 70 mostly 4th and 5th instars on Mexican asclepias visible without looking under the leaves. ON THE SPRING MIGRATION MONARCHS OCCASIONALLY PASS THROUGH BUT DO NOT STAY TO BREED.
MONARCHS BREED HERE FROM
TYPICALLY STARTING IN MID TO
LATE AUG. LAST ADULTS LEAVING ON MIGRATION EARLY/MID OCT., SOMETIMES AS LATE AS EARLY NOV.
