This American robin was drinking from a bowl of water that we put out for small animals. (We have 3 bird baths, but apparently this bowl of water seemed better to this robin!) A blue jay that was standing nearby waited patiently for this robin to finish getting its drink before the blue jay took its turn to get a drink from this same bowl. We have seen a decrease in the number of robins since all of the young ones for the year have fledged.
