20 monarchs seen Sunday Sept 8 late afternoon.

giant asian mantis now visable (4 known).
Previous years monarch wings found under shrubbery of the mantis territory!
Then counted 28 mantis 7" or greater here on Lake Erie shoreline.

Each mantis had specific territory, and stayed near from day to day.
*Not sure what to do? as this is wildlife coridor. Entomology, biodiversity
and genetic diversity retention commitment... towards ecosystem restoration.
*every life matters*.

Today: Friday 13 2024 3-5 afternoon 2 Monarchs on tall purple astors.
* note: noisy afternoon... many motorcycles,
a yard mower,
a weed wacker,
a riding mower,
low car traffic.

warm day 80s, not rained in 4 days,

Yard in unmowed tropical.


Human encroachment is at an all time high here, locally.
