Spoke with Point Pelee staff who conducted the Monarch hike this evening. They located four separate individuals on their evening hike. One roosted in a Mulberry on the west side of the tip, another chose a Hackberry near the shuttle stop. They did not have specific locations for the other two. The weather pattern has been very consistent this week with a high-pressure system in place and favourable winds for Monarch migration.. Monarchs would have little reason to stop at Point Pelee.
