Participated in the Monarch hike at Point Pelee National Park tip area this evening. One female was sighted roosting in a Hackberry tree with a western exposure just prior to Sunset. Once again, a high-pressure system persists with bright blue sunshiny skies Moderate to strong east winds causing lots of wave action on the east side of the tip.
Environment Canada conditions at Point Pelee at 19:00: temperature 21°C, humidex 26°C, relative humidity at 79%, dewpoint at 17°C, barometric pressure 102.1 kPa.
Wind conditions at Harrow AAFC: ENE 7 (it should be noted that the winds I experienced at the tip of Point Pelee were stronger than 7 km/h)
