Mid-afternoon, walking on a road which cuts through prairies, the Monarchs were flying across the road working their way against the south breeze. Was nice to see so many in such a short period of time.
More surprising where the very large number (dozens) of dragonflies that appeared to be migrating. I had no idea that the green darner dragonfly will do a multi-generational migration.
