A very tattered and faded male monarch and beautiful female were flittering above my roses and butterfly bush. They mated once. The female flew away. The male continued to land on my dried up butterfly bush flowers. He could continue to fly above my flowers until he was finally successful, landing on live flowers feeding for quite some time.
