Out walking and I came across this adult struggling in the grass. It was almost as if it had just eclosed from her chrysalis earlier before. She hopped up on my hand then crawled up the sleeve of my jacket and nestled in on the side/back of my neck, flicking her wings against my ear. I brought her home and set up a bin with some cut grass in it and she continued to try and reach my hand. My goal was to give her a place out of the wind to rest and get her bearings. I came out of my house about 15 minutes later and she was gone. I did a quick perimeter check to see if she was somewhere and not doing well but I couldn't find her. Here's to hoping that she survived.
