I saw 8 adult Monarchs this morning at CCP. Prior to today I had only seen one or two on any day on my morning walks. I am guessing that somehow the Monarchs are sensing an approaching front on Sunday that will drop temperatures appreciably here.

Light to moderate southerly winds today. Clear skies. High temps near 100F.

I forgot to take any pictures.

The Monarchs were general resting or nectaring on Goldenrod or Sunflower. Several headed south.
